1. Consistency

It’s hard for busy people to be consistent. Because my clients are always first, it’s easier for me to stick to a schedule for something I manage for them than it is for me. Because I tell my clients the exact same thing, I know that consistency is essential. Your voice must be consistent when you are using internet marketing and content creation as part of your brand. You can’t have social media activity that is wildly active for several days, then disappear for a month. If you stop pushing the accelerator, you can quickly lose any momentum or traction you have gained from internet marketing. You don’t have to stop blogging once a week if you are accustomed to receiving emails from your list regularly.

A content calendar that you can prepare ahead of time, with at least one week of content to be automated and scheduled, is a good idea. You can block a few hours each week or over the weekend to do this. Make it a weekly routine so your voice resonates and your audience grows. Keep it short: Don’t overload yourself or your readers by writing white papers and dissertations all the time. It’s enough to have a page or two on one side, with clear and logical sections that make it easy to skim. It is easier to read a page on a mobile device than anything less than one page.

2. Content Variation

This can be tempting if your business is just starting out or if you want to promote yourself and your brand more widely. Prospective clients, potential employers, and potential business partners want to hear more about you, your company, and you. They also want to know about what makes you great at what you do, what you do, what you think about, and what topics are most relevant to your area of expertise. This can be done by changing the content of your social media posts, blogs, and other content-driven marketing efforts. If you post on social media six times per week, then only one or two positions should be promoted. It’s essential to share, curate, and create content that is relevant to your field. Your resume, online portfolio, and job-seekers should be the same. An excellent summary is like an impressive highlight reel. Highlight your most meaningful achievements and relevant work experience. While reading blogs and emails is free, scrolling through social media is not. But you cannot assume that your audience is willing to spend their time. Or they will move on to other things. You must provide exciting content on a minimum of three levels on a regular basis to win the loyalty of your audience.

This can be a problem as the busy person’s shorter attention span reduces your chances of capturing their attention and getting them into action. Mobile devices are a great example of this effect. Mobile devices make it easy for people to quickly browse through emails or feeds while on the go. Your message will not be remembered if it takes too much time to reach its intended audience without a clear call to action.

This can be avoided by sharing short information on a variety of topics with a call to action. The call to action should be clear and helpful for the buyer or reader. They should be able to click a link or button and/or submit any information that will take them further into the topic they are interested in. You can give your readers the option to look at any of your snippets more in detail rather than making them go through it all. This will help you to understand your readers’ interests and determine which products and services resonate with them. It will also ensure that your content is being seen more often. Your chances of engagement are lower if you have only one link or call-to-action, and it is buried at the bottom of a long piece of content.

Individuals: If you have an online portfolio, resume, business card, or other means of promoting yourself to your networks, ensure that you highlight the important things and provide multiple ways to contact you. SEO is a term that refers to websites or businesses in their most basic form. However, you can use similar principles to your online resume, CV, and LinkedIn profile if it’s something you are interested in.

Search engine optimization gives websites an edge and makes them more visible to people searching for similar keywords. Your website and all online content should contain high-quality, relevant information.

Employer buzzwords can be thought of as SEO for your online portfolio, resume, or LinkedIn profile. Get creative when trying to get the attention of potential employers or business partners. Be creative with words and phrases to attract the attention you desire. However, don’t use words or phrases that are used by everyone. Make sure you are specific and focused.
